NEW WEBSITE COMING

Dear URTUR Friends - Mainstream Marketing is performing a major upgrade of the URTUR website to include significant improvements in the following areas:

#1 - Webcasting Platform - URTUR is partnering with MobileRider to bring a custom player and direct server connection to our Live Video fans + URTUR is developing a better distribution channel and viewing area for all of our content from FREESTYLE around the world. Note: an exciting component will be that when we are doing Live Webcasting it will be possible to embed this player into your websites or the website of your club to bring a personalized local experience to these events.

#2 - Registration. Finally, Mainstream has found new technology that allows us to upgrade and simplify our registration process. For URTUR events that have are directly organized by Mainstream you will now have access to registration both at the website and on Facebook at the URTUR Page - http://www.facebook.com/urtur - This will allow clean and secure access to event registration in multiple areas.

#3 - Site Membership - You will no longer need to be a member of the URTUR site to process registration. Though if you do "Sign In" to our registration module and create a profile it will speed up your registration process the next time. We know that many people have become members of in the last few weeks, do not feel jilted, we are taking your profiles and transferring to our new internal communication system on the new site and you will get updates.

#4 - Groups - we will be building all communication modules inside of Facebook. Using both event and group areas of Facebook. This will allow for important and not so important information to be pushed to those most interested in a platform that all of you are using daily.

#5 - Social Media Integration - In general we will be using Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Vimeo and Foursquare as our platforms for socializing, communicating and having fun events. Example, Mainstream is working on creating a game for the competitors that uses Foursquare as an event platform that is tied to competitors performance and them checking in at various times for a CASH prize.

More ... More ... More ...

The goal is to be launching version 1 of the site by Monday, October 25th this should coincide with opening registration for the US Freestyle Selections in Steamboat. After that improvements will be made throughout early November with a full video test scheduled for November 19th!
